I read a post from an ops expert recently that said, "Unless you're doing more than ~$3M per year, your business probably doesn't need 'how to' SOPs. It may need "what to" SOPs. But "how to" SOPs will be a massive waste of time and energy.”I can't disagree more. With the hundreds of small businesses, startups, and nonprofits we've partnered with, as well as continuously making our business as efficient, smooth, and reliable as possible, "how to SOPs" are non-negotiables.No matter if you're a solopreneur or have 100 team members...are currently making $0 ARR or $100M ARR, "how to SOPs" are needed.Because they help minimize cognitive load.Because they help maintain consistency and predictability.Because they help create trust.Because they help create autonomy.Because they help alleviate bottlenecks.Because they help create peace of mind.Because they help clearly communicate expectations.Because they help increase efficiency (and therefore profits).Because they help increase your business valuation to potential buyers.Because they help set team members up for success.Because of so many more things...If there is one thing you can do for your operations today to help it and your business run more reliably without you, create some "how to SOPs".#BusinessGrowth #OperationsExcellence #SOPs

How do you get systems to talk to each other? It begins with having all the right tools and a clear blueprint from the start (not automations/integrations)If your systems don't talk to each other, you're just creating more headaches. It's like building a house with a detailed plan rather than constructing each room separately and hoping they fit together in the end. When every system is set up correctly from the beginning, they integrate seamlessly, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Our client said it best: “Operations are the foundations for everything. My sales, service delivery, and client experience all hinge on efficient ops.”#operations #businessgrowth #efficiency #entrepreneur

4 Steps to Build a Business That Runs Reliably Without YouDo you ever feel chained to your business? Where taking a vacation or focusing on biz dev activities means taking your eye off the daily operations, causing everything to fall apart? If you're nodding along, it's time to rethink how your business runs. Here’s how you can create a business that runs smoothly without your constant oversight:1. Document Your Processes: Every task, from client onboarding to daily operations, needs an SOP. This is your playbook that allows anyone in your team to take over seamlessly.2. Automate Repetitive Tasks: Identify tasks that consume your time and see how you can automate them. Remember, a well-automated process is a game-changer.3. Build a Strong Team: Invest in hiring and training the right people. Your team should be empowered to make decisions and take ownership, freeing you up from micromanaging.4. Implement Reliable Systems: Systems ensure that nothing falls through the cracks and everyone stays on the same page.---If you're running into any of these problems, let's chat! My DMs are open—let's brainstorm about how we can create a business that runs smoothly without you together.#BusinessGrowth #Operations #Entrepreneurship #Automation #Leadership

Automating a broken process just means you’re doing the wrong things faster. A solid manual process beats a crappy automated one any day. Build it right first, then scale it. #Operations #Efficiency #Growth

When we talk about operations, we’re really talking about the ✨ HOW✨ of your business. It's the action your business, team members, and even clients and customers take. This means that operations run through EVERY aspect of your business: admin, sales, marketing, finance, legal, HR, fulfillment, customer service...the list goes on.It's really such a shame that operations is so glossed over (or completely omitted) in business-building programming. When I hear founders say, "Operations is everything but sales" or that "Ops isn't important to my business", I'm reminded of how much education is continually needed around operations for startups and small businesses. When you have an ops problem, it means something in your business isn’t working as it should. Whether it’s project management, new client onboarding, or new employee onboarding, these processes might be:🔹 Full of Gaps: Missing or unclear steps.🔹 Bogged Down by Extra Steps: Unnecessary complexity slowing you down.🔹 Unreliable: Inconsistent results causing frustration.🔹 Inconsistent: Variations each time leading to confusion and errors. For example, when you look at something as crucial as your sales process, no matter WHAT industry you're in or how you generate revenue...is this process the best that it can be? Or can it be better so that it's not as manual or causing your customers to jump through unnecessary hoops?Poor operations affect your entire business, leading to inefficiencies, increased workload, and all-around frustration. It hampers your ability to scale and achieve your income and impact goals. And if you're wondering what's the easiest way for you to start improving your operations? I've got just the resource for you here: https://lnkd.in/gFU5cguKIf this post helped you, it would mean a ton if you could share it so that others may benefit.---🗓️ This is day 9/30 of the #JustSayTheThingsChallenge where the goal is simple - share what's on your mind for 30 days. No overthinking. No complex strategy. Just have fun! Feel free to use the hashtag to start your own 30 days at any time and we can cheer each other on!#processimprovement #busiessoperations #smallbusiness #entrepreneurs
